General information

Shanghai Airport is officially called Shanghai Pudong International Airport.  The airport 30km east of the city centre. There is an express high speed train which runs every fifteen minutes. The 30km journey takes less than 8minutes. There is also a metro, and bus connections to the city.

Weather in Shanghai Spring is a warm and pleasant time to visit Shanghai. March to May is considered the best time to visit. Summer is very hot with temperatures in the mid-thirties; however the city experiences a lot of rainfall during the summer months. Autumn is a cool and more bearable than the humid summer time. Winter is overcast and cold in Shanghai.

Electricity You will need an adapter to use the sockets in China as they are two flat-pronged pinned plugs.

Currency The currency in China is the Renminbi.
